My Top 5 Elopement Locations
Over the years elopements have grown in popularity as an intimate alternative way to solemnize your love and devotion for one another while avoiding a lot of big costs and stress that comes with having a large, traditional wedding. One of the best parts of eloping is you can do it virtually anywhere. Some chose a spot special to them that they have fond memories at, while others like to go somewhere completely new!
I wanted to share my top 5 favorite locations that would be epically beautiful for a couple to elope at.
Glacier National Park Now I may be biased because I live not too far away, but if you are looking for epic mountain views, crystal clear lakes, and forest everywhere you look then Glacier and the surrounding area is for you! There are a variety of locations that you can elope inside the park with a permit, there are even more locations outside the park that don’t require a permit, just my expertise of the area :) Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you are hoping to elope in or near Glacier, I’ve helped many couples through the process!
Southern Oregon Coast
This past year my husband and I road- tripped down the entire West Coast, Southern Oregon by far stole my heart. There is so much beautiful shoreline with jaw dropping views, you really could not go wrong with an elopement on the beach anywhere in the area. If you are considering this area, reach out to me, I have a few specific beaches in mind that are amazing! No permit required!
Big Sur, CA
Big Sur is on of my all time favorite places. I grew up coming up to Big Sur and camping almost every summer of my childhood. I know that area very well. It is beautiful, almost can make you feel like you are on another planet with it’s unique forest and beautiful coastline. I would love to photograph an elopement up there. I know lots of great areas whether you are looking for lush green forest or epic beaches, and if you want both, even better!
Hawaii
Hawaii, everyone loves Hawaii. I’ve been fortunate in my lifetime to have traveled there often enough that I have made it to every major island. I have many great recommendations for whatever island you are thinking of eloping on. The best part about Hawaii is that you can elope and honeymoon all in the same place!
Cabo, Mexico
Cabo is perfect if you love mild weather, tacos, and are going for a tropical vibe on a budget. I traveled to Cabo a few years ago and had so much fun. It is a great spot if you are trying to elope with more of a strict budget. Like Hawaii it has amazing beaches, but typically is not as epxensive as Hawaii can be. If you and your lover are “foodies” it would also be perfect! It’s known as a foodie destination. Cabo is another location where you can honeymoon and elope all at the same time. There are many resorts and Airbnb’s to chose from, and depending on the time of year you chose you can get some pretty good deals. The best part of eloping in Cabo is that if you hire me as your photographer, I can also be your translator as I speak fluent Spanish :)
